Isnt it the same price for months now for this bundle?
it says wifi though
A 12900k build like this would easily last you 6+ years. It makes little sense to wait if you are doing video editing and streaming now. Sure in 7 months there will be better deals, but that's always how the industry works. It doesnt make sense to try and save $50 or get a bit more performance if it means a slower workload for months.

Depends on what you want to use it for. Most folks don't need this much power
Well, I got the 12600kf bundle to upgrade my server, now need a couch gaming setup. Was thinking of getting this bundle, putting the 12900k in the server and then using the 12600kf with this mobo/ram for the new gaming rig. So in summary trying to decide if the extra $150 is worth it to upgrade the server and get an extra 16gb of ram for the gaming rig.

I have this CPU. It's awesome but gets hot so make sure you cool the CPU and your case has good airflow

Anyone have an opinion on what the best bang for your buck bundle is of the current microcenter options?

Probably this. I got the 14700 bundle, and besides the future proofing, it probably was a waste of money for just the web browsing and YouTube watching I do. I never go above 2 percent cpu utilization.

Reading a lot of reports on trying to keep this running cool without getting throttled. Does this require a $100+ cooling setup?

This is a value-sweet deal. If I had money I would go for this than a new gen i5 or i7.

I had the same question and went 7700x because it's better on single-threaded/gaming usage, also a newer architecture and also AM4 is going to have an upgrade path

I think you meant AM5 not AM4. I bought the 7700x deal. Paired with a 4080 super and a 750 watt psu. If I had gone with the Intel bundle I would have had to s p end more on a beefier psu and this bundle is $50.00 more than the 7700x bundle was.

That's a very similar situation to mine.

This deal: no upgrade path- guaranteed that the next jump is *another* bundle... 136W more put me into also needing to bump my PSU so that's another $100+ on top

7700X: CPU replacement options for another decade without a guaranteed Mobo jump. (AM4 is still getting CPUs at year 9 and counting, Intel's dropping the 1700 after 3 years). And better single threaded performance anyways

Does AMD still trounce Intel for performance per watt and far less heat?

What would be a good 2TB M.2 drive to pair with this?
