Amazing specs but can the HP Envy model handle the heat that will come from the high performing CPU and GPU? Anyone know how good the cooling system is? I would totally snatch this up no questions asked if it were $200 cheaper.

Did a lot of research on this one and it seems to handle heat very well. I just bought it so I'll get a chance to test it out. Pound for pound this is a screaming deal for the specs it offers.

It seems that this 2023 model can handle the heat pretty well from the cpu/gpu combo. The downside is the added weight all that cooling added.
Seems like a pretty deal for the specs - watched so YouTube reviews and seems like heat isn't a significant issue. Checked out a similar model at Best But and liked the BQ and keyboard except they went with the silver keys with light letters than can make visibility a pain…
Just bought one - did lots of research and this seems like an overall excellent deal for the specs - seems great for productivity and even gaming - also checked out the BQ in person at Best Buy liked it quite a bit. Will post updates when it comes in.

Been playing with mine for a couple days. Heaviest laptop I've used in years, definitely intended to be mounted semi permanently. Just bought a dock so I'll get to see how it handles running two external monitors and itself. But so far I've had zero issues and it's a great machine.

Great laptop. Fan definitely kicks on from time to time and is finicky about slowing down unless I detach the big HP Thunderbolt dock I bought. But, runs Forza Motorsport beautifully, supports both external monitors and itself simultaneously with ease, and *most importantly* runs Power BI quickly and efficiently, which was my main reason for replacing my aging desktop.
I'm still a tiny bit on the fence about not just buying another desktop computer and eventually replacing my older x360 14" laptop, as this thing is great on the eyes with the huge display but at over 5lbs and REQUIRES a giant 1+lb ac adapter brick to charge (USB-C charging only happens in sleep), it's not something I can reasonably see myself taking on a trip.
But so far, I'm not finding any other laptops in this spec range that truly has me 2nd guessing my purchase.
