Bosch seems better than Samsung (and LG), but newer Bosch units have tons of issues too.
This is probably due to wrongheaded CA regulations that end up affecting our whole country. Manufacturers don't want to make a special CA product, and, since CA is such a large market, they don't want to lose it either, so they just roll CA requirements into all models.
The concept of condensation drying is poorly thought out. It is mandated now (I think) and saves energy but IMHO has eliminated the sanitize ability that we used to have on just about every cheap dishwasher because heated air was previously used to dry the dishes. Killing the bulk of germs requires temperatures over 155F for a long period of time. Now dishwashers don't really kill germs, they get smelly inside, they have to pop open automatically or they don't dry, etc.
Some of the more pricey Bosch or Miele units may still be a level above, but I don't think you will be getting 20 year or more lifespan on those either, like in the past.
Sorry, I don't have a solution to offer... just complaining.
TRUTH. Regulations typically screw with innovation by requiring things that appear to make sense but then serve to hurt customers. Reducing water use sounds good, quick dry sounds good.... until you realize that to get these things requires compromises in other areas like reliability and service life.
My advice to anyone in the market for a new dishwasher is to buy whichever brand you prefer (such as Samsung, Bosch or LG), but be sure to invest in all available warranties. These modern dishwashers have complex assemblies and circuitry, which can make the repair process a real pain if something goes wrong.
Went to buy a Samsung or LG years ago and the sales agent literally said they were junk.
been using the Bosch for 3 years now without issue.

Save yourselves. Buy anything but Samsung.
Not to worry,,, the fluorescent display will soon fail rendering it unusable.
And may ask - who the F still uses 30 old technology fluorescent displays.?
one guess.
Never ever buy the lowes extra warranty.
If you never use it you are, according to the contract , to get a 30 percent cash back rebate.
Good luck getting that. 8 calls, 8 total agreements that I was eligible and the check would be mailed .
Nada - it was painfully obvious that the "agents" had been instructed to not honor the contract.
