I use this exact laptop (Typing on it as we speak.) Was a long-time Thinkpad user before. Here are the benefits of this laptop:
- 120hz screen (Biggest thing people miss)
- RAM is removable (big deal)
- When put into Best Power Efficiency mode when on battery, one of the only Windows laptops that actually maintains good performance
- Keyboard is better than current low-travel Thinkpads, but not as good as Thinkpads of old
The build quality is good; my only small complaint is a bit of screen flex if you push in middle of case behind screen when closed.
I still prefer the Lenovo 13x (the Core Ultra 9 185 option). Such a beautiful machine. Much thinner and somewhat lighter yet only .5" less screen. Battery is bigger at 74wh. Biggest drawback in comparison though is limitation of 32GB ram.
ThibkBook series is based on Lenovo's consumer grade laptops with Business specific software and firmware feature and nowhere close to HP's EliteBook or Firefly lineup. And that 0.5" diagonal increase does provide 7.57% screen area increase, use pythagoras theorem to calculate that. On top of that, HP has a far superior display color gamut, 100% sRGB vs 100% DCI-P3 and better brightness.
It is still top of the line performer for these kind of Thin & Light 14" laptops and even the latest Core Ultra 7-155H has hard time beating it.
Note my inclusion of hot-or-not deal perspective. I wasn't poo-pooing it legitimacy as a capable laptop, was just offering some observations that imo should be factored in when considering the hotness of the deal.
Not sure where you get your "facts"... but you seem to believe 500 nits on the HP is "better brightness" than 500 nits on the Lenovo.
Nopes, I did not say that. Google what DCI-P3 is and learn why it is better than just sRGB. Seems like you are lacking knowledge to identify which is what and trying really hard to promote your deal with half-baked knowledge.

Why don't you reread your last two words. And you say I have half-baked knowledge. All I said is I like something else. That's it. Now you're going after me for having a different opinion. Never said one is better than the other.

That's another point as well. But why are you trying hard to avoid that DCI-P3 point which you literally quoted. I don't think you have the knowledge to understand which is what but simply fighting here for your ego. Your personal opinion is Lenovo deal you posted, fair enough. But here people don't consider something better than other based on someone's personal feelings but actual facts. That's why I asked to learn what's DCI-P3 is, rather than going circle.

I will comment what I like. You don't have to agree. Stop gatekeeping.
