Because SD thinks of them as "competition" and blocks us from posting links to it. Which just makes them look petty and stupid from my standpoint, as the two services complement each other far more than they compete. Half the user-posted deals on here probably came from their 3c alert messages.
I purchased this set last month in order to chase down a recent huge electric use jump which caused my electric bill to jump $200. These work for Refrigerators too. Definitely worth $10 each for the Energy consumption information that others don't have. Though not absolutely sure, I think I traced my problem to an unused bath fixture that had developed a slow hot water drip, causing the electric hot water heater to run a lot more…There is a glitch in setting these up in iOS - you set them up first through iOS HomeKit, then you can use the Kasa App. But at the end of setting up in HomeKit you get an error message. Just close the HomeKit and Kasa app and reopen. You can then complete the installation in the Kasa App.
Good Price, but I like the KP models better with MATTER..

Because both slickdeals and C3 are amazon affiliates. Slickdeals doesn't want C3 to steal the referral.
If you aren't trying to pair this with your Sense monitor it means nothing to you. Some people use these Kasa plugs to get more detailed energy usages stats in Sense.
Been running all kinds of Kasa plugs, switches and bulbs using the Kasa app for years. The bulbs give me a little trouble now and then. Mainly because they go bad after a a couple of 3 years. The plugs are.bullet proof. $8 a pop is a good price. Might have to stock up.
I find the KASA energy app to be pretty lame. Doesn't show peak / inrush, amps, or power draw after 30 days. Better off with killawatt style device and a good clamp meter to measure inrush
MATTER doesn't. It's already failing. Adoption less than expected. And push back more. Tech egos can't allow another's idea. Smart tech will end up being an even bigger disappointment than it is already.

I use Google Hub/Assistant and HomeKit. Can you help me understand why I would or would not want the Matter versions?
