And that's why Apple is being sued by the US with several state backing. Apple purposely hinder competing 3rd party hardware/software to make you buy or use their products by lessening the functionality of the 3rd party product/software.
This sux for the consumer because you're forced into buying a certain product. This Samsung watch could be a great watch but you'll never know if you're an Apple user. In my case I carry both an Apple and Samsung phone because of iMessage.
Sorta . . . for a while. Apple shuts down apps that support hardware competing with their watches. The watch will still run but the iPhone will shut down the software on the phone that supports the watch.
No way. Apple is a monopoly - they were forced to go to usb c - Apple will do everything to not be compatible with anything not made by them.

If I didn't have the Watch 6 I would have ordered this for the battery life! I don't need all the other fancy features, just steps counter and app notifications
Any difference between the international model and US model?
Edit: I looked it up, it's not sold in the US
I don't think Samsung will officially bring this to the US. It's too good that it will kill their watch sales.
The first welcome screen is in Spanish with a button to change language. It works fine with Samsung Wearable app.
Sucks that they don't have any of these fitness tracker watches with on board music storage. Only full fledged smartwatches offer that.
Kinda defeats the purpose if you need your phone with you in order to play stored music.

It isn't compatible with iOS. However, I don't recommend using any 3rd pary watches with iOS because it kills background app aggressively.

Looks and feels really nice for $70. UI is just as smooth as my galaxy watch 6 classic.
My battery life was really good, but less than what Samsung advertised. I got around 10 days with sleep tracking off.
Unfortunately there is a bug right now where workouts don't upload to Samsung health app. It tracks the workout while it's happening, but it doesn't get uploaded. So I've switched back to my galaxy watch until it gets fixed.
