Looks like my free 1 year Target Shipt membership from last year November converted to this. Not seeing a difference in benefits since many small items only ship with $35 minimum anyways (same as red card benefit).

I think main benefit here is shipt which is free same day delivery... But you should tip so not really free and I believe still has a min order amount.

Now I have to tip my delivery man for delivering a package I ordered while paying for a service?

WTF!? It's like tipping an Amazon driver. What is the world coming to?

No its not. One is a company employee and one is an independent contractor, similar to ride share drivers.
That is not a persuasive argument. It's not the consumer's responsibility to tip because the company makes its employees "independent contractors". What if Amazon, UPS and FedEx made their works independent contractors. What about USPS?

The people who think like you (myself included) never argue about this in public because of the backlash it provides.

Tipping culture = Socialism for the companies

Imagine the government tipping federal employees. "But mah tax dollas"

Abolish tipping culture.

Thank you for validating my feelings. Glad I'm not the only one. I will stop posting about this now since it's no longer relevant to the thread's deal. Be aware folks for same day deliveries apparently tipping is expected.

I'll just throw this out there because I used a lot of Shipt when they were still selling gift cards at 50 percent off. Target's same day delivery should still be Shipt service, which is closer to Instacart, rather than Amazon or Walmart same day. Your driver is the shopper. They should be messaging you directly on your order.

I would rather they be paid higher, but tipping seemed quite appropriate especially for groceries. My favorite shoppers would let me know when produce was low quality, ask how soft I wanted my avocados or bananas, and took pics of substitute options. The worst brought me discount meat (Shipt charges you full price!), expired bread and crushed cans.

Not a Redcard holder and the nearest Target store is about an hour away from me, so I probably wouldn't be eligible to use the delivery service. At this price, I'm intrigued by the free 2-day shipping. The depth of merchandise available for shipping at Target just isn't the same as Walmart or Amazon, though.
