Like I said I used to swear by Myer's cleaning products until I realized there was a one and done solution for everything I needed to clean in my house. You can literally use Simple Green on any mess or surface, ironic how simple it actually is.
If the number of ingredients is your argument, why not just use white vinegar[nsf.org]? The NSF blog says a 1:1 mix, but it works well for us at 1:3 (eg. 8oz white vinegar + 24oz of water in a 32oz spray bottle[walmart.com]).
Don't get me wrong, I use Simple Green, too...but only if it's something that really warrants the chelating agents or surfactants. In my experience, the vinegar spray is good for 100% of our usual cleaning and it's really obvious when Simple Green is needed.
The argument I've heard against vinegar is the odor. Yeah, it smells like vinegar...for all of 30 seconds until it evaporates. Simple Green has an odor, too, and it's not especially pleasant. Personally, I add a splash of lemon extract[samsclub.com] to my vinegar spray and it completely masks the vinegar smell.
Easy there. You've never put a squirt of Dawn on a wet paper towel or sponge to wipe down a countertop?
Dish soap is not toxic, go ahead and wash your dishes with this while your at it shine your glasses with Clorox wipes and use fabuloso as dish washer rinse agent
