Micro USB, get out of here. Nobody likes you.
18650 is a big plus, can upgrade to a higher capacity 18650 and even allows for swap outs if it's anything like the other 18650 flashlights. Really useful for keeping in the car or around the house for blackouts.

EDIT: nevermind, apparently built in and not replaceable.

Description says 5H charging time. Does that mean it takes 5 hours to fully charge or does that mean the battery lasts for 5 hours on a charge?

Good deal but if these have to be recharged every month as one review states then they aren't as useful when you only need them once in a while.

What he probably meant was that they last a month of regular use before needing a charge, which is reasonable given 2.5 hours of use at max brightness. I would be surprised if they die in a month without any use. The switches on these are mechanical, so there should be no power draw on the battery when the light is not on.

5H charging times means it takes 5H to charge it. Not much ambiguity there. It clearly states how long the flashlight lasts on a charge (2.5H at full brightness, 4.5H at low brightness).

Based on multiple reviews mentioning that these take a long time to charge, 5H sounds about right.

Ok thanks. I missed those details on the description. I guess I was looking for something a little more straightforward.

I regret only buying two packs. They're bigger than the removable battery supfire clones but feels solid, well built and plenty bright enough. If I bought more I could just keep them on charge rotation.

Is there a way to disable the flashing setting? Most of the ones I find I have to click through all the settings to get back to the constant on, a simple solid on and off would be great

Playing with it now. Does not seem to be any way to avoid having to click through all 3 modes b4 it will turn off right away. But, within any given mode, if you leave it in that mode for a min of 10 seconds, next button click does turn it off.

i like the heaviness of the aluminum-bodied flashlight! Seems it should hold up to abuse. And, I do prefer power button on end cap vs side button. This one is on end cap.

I missed the Walmart deal, but Ozark sells them for $8.40 + FS, very tempting with your solid comments Smilie
Does it overheat? Can anyone test the battery life? It claims 2.5 hrs high, 4.5 hrs low.

Tried opening but couldn't, also do we have to cycle through 3 modes to turn it off?

Solved, as the other posted said. Leave it for 10-15 seconds and the next click turn it off. It's very practical

These come with a charging cord for each flashlight. The end you would plug in to the power source is a regular usb cord.
Sorry late reply but that's my point. You have to have to be charging these so they're ready to use. If you've ever been on a camping trip, or a job site, little cables like those go missing fast. Box of batteries, not as much of a risk, particularly now with not as many devices (and phones) using a micro-USB cord. 5 years ago, more people carried a microusb in their car or bag.
