Thanks to Deal Editor iconian for finding this deal.
nice price, but I will never again get a scale that isn't a single-piece-smooth-surface type, these with all the nooks and crannies and crevices do nothing but quickly build up gross gunk that repeatedly has to be picked out, if you can get it out at all. ugh.
Put a plate on it that's what the tare is for
That's not true at all. I'm pretty sure the US uses the dishwasher far more frequently than other countries and it isn't even true in the US.

I've used this for the past year and a half. It does 0.1 gram increments; it's the cheapest decent scale that does. Sometimes it freezes up a little and it doesn't have the fastest polling rate, but for the price thats more than fine.
Thank you! At this price point it's worth a shot. The next cheapest would be a Hario scale and those are around $50.
This is an excellent deal if you are starting out with espresso using a semi automatic machine. Each of them are about $15 per Amz. I bought two just for the scale but not sure which model of scale is enclosed. Also does the pitcher have internal marking?

Grams/ounces according to description.
Review on Amazon says it's only Grams.
Just got mine and can confirm UNIT button cycles between g/oz/ml and does allow TARE function to "zero out" the weight of a plate or container. Has a timer function, as well. Seems accurate and matches weights when compared to my AVA/WEIGH scale. Requires 3 AAA batts (NOT included).

The fix is an activity called "cleaning" or "hygiene."
How would these accessories work with an espresso machine? Newbie here lol
The tamping mat basically protects your counter top and gives you a surface to "work" - your portafilter can go where that half circle is at the bottom and then you can tamp it so that you don't scratch your counter. The knock box is for you to "knock" your portafilter against it to get the used esprssso puck out. Usually it sticks inside so it's difficult to get out, easy to "knock" it out. Not a super critical accessory but saves time
The frothing pitcher is self explanatory and your machine probably came with one of it has a steaming wand for milk. The scale is useful for precise espresso making. For example if you have a breville machine, the Breville only lets you set the amount of beans being ground by time - amount of seconds grinding. The more precise way to do it is to use the scale to measure exactly how many beans you are using and put it in the hopper for grinding. Instead of having an always filled hopper and using the seconds to measure.

"cleaning" is not the fix, it's the problem: an annoying, tedious, repetitive but unfortunately necessary chore that involves unnecessarily spending large amounts of time partially disassembling the poorly designed device to access the tiny nooks and crannies that are otherwise unreachable, taking time away from other important or more enjoyable activities. The fix is purchasing well-designed products that can be cleaned in 1% the amount of time, by simply wiping a sponge over the flat, featureless surface.
