Sometimes they run deals and have 8pc for $5, so I've always rolled my eyes at KFC. It's pretty dead around here for a reason: paying $2-3 for a piece of chicken is bullshit lol
Yesterday I got jack in the box, mcdonalds and burger king, 1.49 soda from mcdonalds, 1.00 any size fry deal from jack in the box, and I used reward points to get a free whopper from bk. All 3 places are on the same street so didn't drive far.
For those that don't know, when I was browsing the jack in the box website for deals I noticed they have a deal for 2 jumbo jacks for 5.00, I didnt feel like eating 2 jumbo jacks so I went with the 1.00 large curly fries.

Most grocery stores have fried chicken, the quality is Meh for almost all of them.
a JolliBee just opened closeby. It's not cheap but for now they have $25 for a 12 piece, it will probably be $33 in a year or two..
I would assume KFC has better QC on their cooking process.

$9.39 for Popeyes TWO piece meal. Pretty outrageous if you ask me.
The only time I ever have gone to KFC is when then have a special posted in the windows or with the coupons I used to get in the mail at the apartment complex.

If you have an Aldi's nearby I believe the last price I saw for whole organic chicken was around $2.29/lb so about .25¢ less than Sam's.
Find a recipe you like online, toss it in the air fryer, done in about an hour +/- depending on weight.
You'll never eat Kentucky Fried Crap (KFC) again...
