Sometimes they run deals and have 8pc for $5, so I've always rolled my eyes at KFC. It's pretty dead around here for a reason: paying $2-3 for a piece of chicken is bullshit lol
Yesterday I got jack in the box, mcdonalds and burger king, 1.49 soda from mcdonalds, 1.00 any size fry deal from jack in the box, and I used reward points to get a free whopper from bk. All 3 places are on the same street so didn't drive far.
For those that don't know, when I was browsing the jack in the box website for deals I noticed they have a deal for 2 jumbo jacks for 5.00, I didnt feel like eating 2 jumbo jacks so I went with the 1.00 large curly fries.

Asian recognize Asian. Me too.
Bought 12 pounds chicken thighs for $12 today. Got myself all the additions to make homemade chipotle cost me $40 total. Red onions be pricey but lucky peppers were on sale $0.50/each.
Chicken marinating right now, in about 12 hours I'll be making 30 pounds of Chipotle copycat. 10 pounds of that is chicken meat. A much better ratio of about 1:1:1 versus actual Chipotle being like 1:2:3. Chicken then beans and lastly most rice.
If you don't count soaking and cooking time, maybe 1.5 hours of effort. Easily would have been $200 at Chipotle and I'm getting more chicken in my ratio.

they are just a local bar but have always been known for their fried chicken so they always have take out orders ... probably fry more chicken than kfc
other than that, we have pizza ranch around here which for chicken is same price... (yes their name is pizza ranch but their fried chicken is better than their pizza)
In my experience around here its the other way around and after having both he agreed... was very confused. All i know is when i was in high school my friends working at burger king got paid more than at mcdonalds which probably explains the service quality
