Your problem was you were trying to use it with a apple product.
I primarily play games with static elements, and as long as you enable the "Logo Brightness" setting to allow the panel to dim those elements it will lessen the effect overall. No issues with burn in so far from FF14 and Helldivers 2.
I have 2 of these, they're amazing. The screen quality is incredible. They don't have as much of a curve as the non OLED ones, but I love these things.

Well that is what I was wondering. Let's say I go on YouTube and turn on 4k for a video, will I see the difference? Would it even allow me to? When I did that with my tv, there was a clear difference in video quality.
Its almost 4k number of pixels on a 49in monitor ... 4k number of pixels gonna look alot better on a 27-32in monitor. Just math.

I returned it for similar reasons. Funny you should bring up Apple, because the lack of ports on this thing is actually very Apple like. This monitor has 1 hdmi port, 1 display port a micro hdmi port for some reason and NO audio out.. There are two usb c ports, neither of which support video. They are both data/power only. If you have 1 computer plugged into it, it's totally fine, but the moment you try to use it with multiple devices it becomes a series of compromises and workarounds. Don't even get me started on the abysmal Samsung smart tv software that's built into the "higher end" version of this thing. Samsung could have had a home run and been the default 49" ultrawide to get because this panel is truly beautiful; but they cut so many corners with this thing I would only recommend it if you find it on a steep discount.
Software development. I have two QD-OLED monitors - one since March 2022 - zero burn in. Some slight uniformity differences on a full gray screen perhaps - but no burn in. 8hrs a day, 5 days a week
Looking for a 240 hz monitor for gaming, ps5 and connecting surface pro for general browsing, light office products and light movies/tv. Is this good for that or is something better out there for cheaper. I want at least 32"
