The real deal is $14.99 for 2 ($7.50 each) with code TAKE5.
These pair with the Govee water sensor Wifi hubs, so you don't need to use Bluetooth!
These are the Govee.com coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:
SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc) BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products) TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)
So we don't rehash lessons from previous Govee deal threads:
- Govee is a Chinese brand, but they tend to have exceptional quality, outstanding customer service/warranty, and many fans on SD, which is why they consistently hit the Front Page.
- Their Bluetooth only devices often pair with Govee WiFi hubs for their other products, allowing remote access to your devices out of the house and on the app. For example, their BT hygrometers connect to the v2 water sensor WiFi hub.
- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international.
- The warranty experience is much better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. Your order is directly tied to the app, meaning you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click; no phone calls or hassle.
I bought a 3-pack of these and I have 2 negative concerns about them.
they are just a single-point calibration, not dual or even multi-point. So they are not that accurate at the full range of temperatures and humidity levels(especially humidity).
They refresh readings needlessly fast. Like every 10-15seconds. Do you really need to record temperature changes in your living room that quickly and often? I'd rather it refresh less often but has longer battery life.
Thermostat may be on 70 but depending on the location of the thermostat, the insulation of the house, the devices outputting heat in the house (oven, computers, etc), obviously the temperature can vary greatly room to room.
For me I rent an older townhouse and the (dumb) thermostat is centrally located on the first floor. My upstairs home office and bedroom can get hot/humid during the Summer and cold/dry during the Winter, so it's important for me to know the true temperature of my home office and bedroom versus what the downstairs thermostat states.
Also, portable dehumidifiers/humidifiers exist. So you can do something about it.

I bought the two pack of H5104, pretty good deal and free shipping! Unfortunately they sent me some mini binoculars instead. Ugh, what a hassle, wonder if I'll have to pay to return the binoculars
Edit:
As it turned out, after sending photos of the Govee Binoculars as well as packaging, they finally reshipped the Thermometers. 16 Days from my original order I have the Thermometers, and a free pair of mini binoculars. Kinda slow, but Govee came thru in the end.
The H5104 thermometers work great with the Govee integration in Home Assistant, even able to reliably connect from inside a freezer to a bluetooth receiver across the house.

What's the purpose in having this?
Your thermostat in your house will control temperature..... so what good is it to look at this devices and say "yup, thermostat is on 70 and this device shows 70 too"?? And if the humidity shows 60% - what are you gonna do about it? Nothing.
This one is a bit large, but I use some of the smaller govee hygrometers in my humidors to ensure that I'm maintaining proper temp and humidity.
