AFAIK Victus laptops seem to be better built compared to your run-of-the-mill HP, so this is a good deal for the price

I hope that my current work hp laptop - g6 zbook, only 7 months old - is not an indicator of where quality is going with hp laptops in general as it is the least reliable PC of any kind I've ever owned. The networking issues it has are alone enough to make me want to throw it down a flight of stairs, as it frequently falls to properly connect to reliable networks (wired or Wi-Fi) and frequently requires a reboot should I dare to try to use one type after having started my morning on the other. It's also had an intermittent dead pixel for months. The battery life is awful, even with more RAM, and when it gets to the point of giving me a low battery warning for the first time I have less than 1 minute to plug it in before it will violently shut down.
Any one of these might be tolerable without the fact that the laptop also frequently shocks me when I start to type.
