Why does it seem like the manufacturer's/sellers are always trying to HIDE the fact of if these are IPS or VA? That is the most important factor in this type of purchase, but they highlight every other function EXCEPT if it is IPS or VA?

Of course its VA....but took a little searching as its not prevalent on the sight unless I missed something.

Looking for a large or curved monitor for my wife who works from home 100%, no gaming, watching YT or movies on her break. What would you recommend?
IPS is better than VA?
3440x1440 minimum resolution?
(I'll research, appreciate any help)

I'm in the market for a new gaming monitor, and I don't see why VA would matter to non-gamers. I doubt people are buying a monitor like this to watch 4k movies either. I wouldn't recommend VA for those things, however I do think that the curved style might be a big adjustment for someone doing work. If she hasn't had a curved monitor before, you may want to ask about it before purchasing, I know my wife has zero interest in those types of screens.

hmmm not sure why you replied to me...i also think VA is bad. IPS is what i think is ideal for productivity use. and color accuracy, better viewing angles. i was questioning OLED for productivity because theyre prone to burn in and when you have windows and taskbars up all day, you'll likely have that burned in.

I think it's because of public perception. I've used an ultrawide VA panel for 3 years now and it has been great. I used to be only IPS but since I found that no 1440p (34 inch) ultrawide panels under like 600 bucks have IPS panels I decided to take a chance on a VA and honestly I haven't noticed a real difference. It's curved and I sit in front of it (though not always dead center), works great for gaming, video editing and even some excel work. I still prefer IPS for viewing angle but for a personal monitor I think VA is fine.

This monitor seems to be a good deal, says it has high 400 nit range for SDR and in the 500s for HDR.
