I bought several of the armbar slim the last time it was on here and was disappointed even for $12 each. They are poor quality with sharp edges on the knife opening hole and the scissors are near useless due to bad leverage. I believe they were different models back then, but I also grabbed a few different folding knives that have already fallen apart, none of the screws had loctite and I had rattling scales within a week of using one of them.
I've been happy with most of my FieldSupply deals as it seems most are simply overstock, but there is definitely a reason the Gerber stuff is being clearanced out in there as if it's just the high RMA items they don't want to deal with anymore.
I have no idea why it's so cheap, but buying anything Gerber on the Chicago Knife Works site is a steep discount. The downwind models are $11 there. I have purchased many Gerber products from them and everything seem legit. https://www.chicagoknifeworks.com...gwt_wcas=1
Edit - looks like this is the ~9" overall length model - it's $16.50 on Chicago Knife Works, my apologies.
Field Supply, for those who may not know, is a very upstanding company. They accidentally sent me the wrong item once, and when I contacted them, asked for a picture. When I sent the picture, they told me to keep that item and sent the correct one. Their shipping has been free for orders over $25 for several years. I don't know if that is still the case, though.

Gerber is terrible quality product. I used to manage a knife store and I'd send product back to them for warranty claims, weekly.

Lets face facts and realize youre not going to get a high grade steel for $10 regardless of shipping costs.

No. Bought rip off Oakley glasses and their return policy makes it impossible not to lose if you return.
