It shows free pickup for my local Walmart. Shipping to home will only be free with walmart+
I believe this is lowest price I've seen for disc version. I updated post to mention that price is dependent on zip code

Hard to think such a strong franchise hit rock bottom - thanks to the corpo fu..s that destroyed Blizzard, gaming and other studios along the way.
It's on GamePass. That's why it's great to not limit yourself to a single console.

I get that's not for everyone and is a big cost. Buying a second console for that tiny subset of games that are xbox exclusives is a little much. In this case buying a $500 console and then paying $180 a year, while worth it to many gamers, is not an option to most people like you seem to think.
or buy a PC and play just about everything and im not PC master race I prefer the PS% for a lot of my gaming but i do have a mid range PC and i have game pass to play with friends and just to try some games but usually if i enjoy it i get it or wait for discounts like this on PS and play it there for the trophies.

Is the game any good?
I've played all the Diablos pretty extensively at this point. I refused to buy Diablo IV unless it was 90% off or more on principle for the crap they were doing to the game (making it annoying to increase play times, heavily pushing microtransactions, shady techniques to make you spend money), but it was released on XBox Game Pass so I could play for free. I did find at least one of the complaints of Diablo IV originally that I have seen has been removed. There was a complaint about how Diablo IV had a ton of similar affixes for equipment that were just there to make it harder for you to tell if an item is good or not. That issue is gone. Other than that I have these things to say in the positive sense:
  • The campaign is pretty well designed.
  • The core game play is typical Diablo and fun.
  • The world is pretty dang big.
  • There's a lot of content in the base game with all the story, side quests, Altars to find and dungeons.
  • There's a lot of seasonal content to go through after you beat the main story.
  • The horse is a great addition (unfortunately you only get it after you nearly beat the game OR if you do seasonal and skip the campaign and get to level 25) because it speeds up a lot of the boring parts of the game.
In the negative sense
  • They redid a lot of things to be less straight forward. For example, there's now "Overpower", "Lucky Hit", "Critical Hit". Before there was just Critical Hits. There's something new called "Fortify" which feels like it's purposely obscure. (It's basically something you can build up and how you build it up depends on your class/skills/equipment and if your Fortify count is greater than your HP, then you get the Fortify bonus which is 10% damage resistance plus any other you managed to get from items or skills). There's damage vs near enemies, damage vs distant enemies, damage vs crowd controlled, etc.
  • The game is purposefully designed to be annoying in terms of inventory. You'll spend an insane amount of time having to comb through your inventory and finding you don't have room for things. Legendary items have a special bonus called an "aspect". You can pull these from the legendary and put it on another item which is great, but you can only use that aspect once so you'll want to strip the same aspect multiple times. Each stripped aspect takes an inventory slot. There's a lot of aspects that you might want to keep just in case and you're going to run out of space pretty quickly. This is very easily fixed, but it's not something Blizzard is likely to do because forced inventory management is part of their game design even though it's really not fun.
  • The game starts get more tiresome once you've gone thru the content. I've beaten it and gone through the seasonal content. It's still fun, but it's getting less and less fun pretty quickly.
  • They don't have the "wardrobe" function from D3. There's a wardrobe in D4 that's for customizing your look, but in D3 the wardrobe let you build custom load outs with specific equipment and skills. Can't do that in D4 as far as I can tell and I kind of understand because having to store the paragon boards might be tricky.
tl;dr: It's definitely fun running through all the content the first time, but I wouldn't call it a classic game or anything.
