To save people some time, this is an online player vs player game. The base game has always been F2P, the DLC is just card decks. So if you get into it you'll probably want to pay money for new decks and other stuff, hence why they are giving away old content for free.

I've been playing this game on and off since 2016. Short 2-5 minutes game rounds. Deceptively easy to get into but lots of strategy involved. I've ranked high without paying a dime. The only reason I took breaks from this game was it was consuming too much of my time. Highly recommend if you are into strategy games

It's not "old content". Frostbite DLC is new, released less than one week ago on April 17, 2024. Mountain Song was released in December 2023. Arise is barely one year old (released April 21, 2023). Zealous Inferno is the only "old content" (released March 5, 2020).

"Old" isn't bad either, as more players will have that DLC. More information will be available online as to how to use that deck effectively since people have had four years to hone their strategies with it.

Please do your due diligence before minimizing a discount someone else shared with the Slick Deals community.
