But if you can find a faster or more accurate meter for AC/DC for under $30.....Clamp It!!!!!
I've been very happy for the price.
Can DC current be measured?
NO. This meter can only measure AC Current.
How do you get yours to measure DC current?

Edit. I think the AC only is for the clamp measuring Amperage not the voltage reading
Thank you, will update post

After lightning deal: $40 - 25% coupon = $30 :-)
Outside of the rare one-off sale, $30 is a good price for a respectable DC clamp meter, and I've been checking out prices since 2021 (you may be able to save a few bucks on Aliexpress). This is a rebadged Habotest HT206D and one can find numerous reviews online. Do not get the cheaper HT206A/B/C if you want DC current, as those do not have the Hall sensor required for DC current measurement. Do note that Hall sensor can be finicky.
DC clamp meters aren't that common and there are only a few out there from the handful of multimeter manufacturing houses in China: The UNI-T UT204+ and UT210D/E that's been around for 10+ years (Scotty Kilmer of YouTube has a Voltcraft VC330 which is a rebadged UNI-T), Habotest HT206D and HT208D, Vici CM-2016, Fuyi FY219, MK06 etc (often branded as bside, Mestek, Tacklife), Mustool X1. and various Aneng and Amazon rebrands (Kaiweets, AstroAI, ...).

The old venerable HT208D (HT206D with more features and bright LCD) is under $30 on Aliexpress too.

Can you give a link?Thanks.

There is also a HT207D [aliexpress.us] which is spec-wise similar to the HT206D (old-school, low-energy-usage LCD, 4000-count instead of 6000) but with the D-clamp and probe holder). It was $18.89 yesterday but jumped to $22.37 now. Clamp meters with AC-only current can be had for around $10, AC socket/GFCI tester (with V, frequency readout), natural gas detector, and anenometer can be had for a few dollars which IMO is pretty wild, not to mention nuclear radiation detector (Geiger counter) for $25-40.
There was a Mastfuyi MK06 DC clamp meter [amazon.com] for $18 ($30-40%) on Amazon but the coupon has been reduced to 30%. Here is a review [kerrywong.com] of a rebadged version (bside ACM03).
