The Wendy's Company - Best FRYday Yet: Wendy's Drops Free Any Size Hot & Crispy Fries With Any Purchase App Offer EVERY Friday Beginning April 19 (irwendys.com)
They should bring back weekly Dave's single/double promo!
I usually do crispy chicken sandwich for $2, cheaper items are less worth the cost (like the 2-bite frosty.)
I usually get a Jr Hamburger ($1.79) and add lettuce/tomatoes to make it a more fulfilling sandwich. Add in a free frosty thanks to my keychain and it's a great meal deal for <$2.

I usually order a single small burger patty a la carte for free with purchase deals. Comes out to 89-99¢, price varies by location. You can technically go even cheaper with a slice of cheese or some jalapenos. Their cash register will allow it, YMMV whether the cashier is willing.
For free fries, someone will have to try if it will work to order extra sauce for 25 cents to see if that counts as a purchase.
EDIT: Adding a 25 cent sauce does not count as a purchase when using the app to order for pickup.
In some parts of Calif. (Central Calif., e.g.), the crispy chicken sandwich is now $3.19. A large french fry may go for $4.55, and the Jr. Frosty is $2.29, and the cookie is $1.75. A Jr Hamburger is $2.89.
I live in such a crap hole (though not in California).
Isn't really a viable option to go to fast food places in these kind of situations.
I went to Wendy's twice every week for that $1 and $2 burger with no other purchase necessary for at least 4 weeks. Corporate must have figured out that they were losing money so it was changed to free item with purchase.
Or free each visit if you bought the $3 key fob several months ago.

I've tried a lot of Wendy's items and the crispy chicken sandwich is so small. It's basically (IIRC) a micro chicken patty, a piece of lettuce and 1 pickle. I get the regular chicken sandwiches when they are 2 for $6 or BOGO (2 for $8 is too much).
I'm sure many of us have compared Wendy's and McD's chicken nuggets side by side. I've done it a couple times and I prefer McD's nuggets (bigger, softer, and they taste better). My McD's and Wendy's are near each other, and today I chose to pay $6 at McD's in spite of the Wendy's 6 free nuggets offer. You can get 20 McD nuggets for $6 and combine it with another offer.

Arby's with Free Sandwiches and Wendys (and McDs) with Free Fries. Nice!
There's an Arby's near me which I never eat at. Every time I drive by it (typically 12-5pm) there are never more than a few cars in the parking lot, and I keep thinking there must be something wrong with Arby's food. Wendy's and McD's never have less than 6 cars in the parking lot and sometimes 1-2 dozen. It didn't help that decades ago Terri & Sherri said "I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's" and all the kids said "Ewww!" If Arby's is so good, why isn't it busy, or do all the Arby's crowds only come out when I'm not looking?

Yep. I had many Dave's burgers, 2 for $6 chicken sandwiches, and $1 any size drinks (no purchase required) during March. I haven't been since the $1 Dave's singles ended.
Wendy's FRYday was created to compete with McDonald's Free Fries Friday. Luckily my local Wendy's right next to a McDonald's so I use both deals every Friday.
Either Wendy's improves their promos or they are cooked.
Food quality took a gigantic nose dive, service is slow (reduced employees), menu is stagnant
All their specialty items like fries and even their staples like baked potatoes are nasty
Their "hand crafted lemonade" which is poured from a machine is $5 for a large lol and uses tap water ice
Every other item is overpriced and tastes bad
Even during the single and double $1/$2 promo (which is the kind of promos they need to run around the clock) it didnt feel like an amazing deal bc the burgers were just decent
I'd be thrilled about the deal if this was their old fries. Despite their crispy promises, the fries I get are literally always mushy, extra greasy (yeah, even for fries), and often lukewarm. Not to mention the serious lack of salt! It's the 4 for 4 that keeps my broke ass coming back. :\
dont like how you can earn rewards, but if you use the rewards you cannot get an offer too. I have rewards for a free single that costs like $6, but if I use that I cant use the $3 off $15 so my rewards are cut in half. I understand not being able to do 2 offers, but rewards should be treated as cash. I usually just do 2 orders in this case, but it is a pain

100% agreed, Covid and after really put the nail in the coffin for me and Wendy's. I used to love them many years ago, no idea how the one near by stays open. It's a ghost town.

they are treated as cash in some cases. for instance, if you have an offer to receive "Free [XXX] with any purchase", a reward redemption *will* count as that purchase.
now, that's for more generic purchases. i noticed that in more specific cases, such as "Buy any spicy/classic chicken sandwich or dave's single cheeseburger, get 1 free (mix and match)", you CANNOT have a redeemed reward for one of those sandwiches grant the freebie.
iow, wendy's rewards and offers can coexist in a given transaction, but they can't *directly and specifically* STACK.
