LG 30.7 cu. ft. Standard Depth MAX InstaView French Door Refrigerator with Four Types of Ice, plus LG 6.0 cu. ft. Single Door Refrigerator with Inverter Compressor and Pocket Handle in Platinum Silver, plus LG LT1000P3 Water Filter, 3-pack for
$1735, saving $2340.
Must be a Costco Member.
This is an example, other combinations of products are possible. Costco has a $300 rebate on certain appliances when you spend $1999. However, certain LG refrigerators are also eligible for a free second fridge. Costco also has another deal on certain Costco Direct items. If you buy two, you get $100 off, buy 3 $200 off, etc.. However the second "free" fridge is a Costco Direct item, so adding it to you cart gets the rebate on the price of the second fridge, plus $100. However, now your cart total is below $1999, so adding the water filters (for the main fridge) brings your total Costco Direct spend back over $1999 getting the total down to $1735. Other combinations of products would also work.
Example:
LG 30.7 cu. ft. Standard Depth MAX InstaView French Door Refrigerator. Was $3550, now $1999

LG 6.0 cu. ft. Single Door Refrigerator. Was $389, now -$100

LG LT1000P3 Water Filter, 3-pack. Was $134, now -$164

2. LG Refrigerator Deal: There's a special promotion where if you buy one LG refrigerator, you get a second one free. This second fridge counts as a Costco Direct item.
3. Costco Direct Promotion: Costco has a tiered discount on Costco Direct items—$100 off when you buy two, $200 off when you buy three, and so on.
4. Combining Deals:
- When you add the first LG refrigerator (let's say it costs around $2000) to your cart, you're initially eligible for the $300 rebate.
- Adding the second LG fridge (which is free and counts as a Costco Direct item) activates the $100 off for buying two Costco Direct items.
- However, the addition of the second free fridge (which has a retail price but is zeroed out in your cart) causes your total to drop below $1999, making you ineligible for the $300 rebate.
5. Solution: To bring the total back over $1999, you add water filters (or other small items) for the main fridge. These purchases count towards your total spending, pushing it back above $1999 and thus, reinstating your eligibility for the $300 rebate.
6. Final Price Adjustment: After all discounts and rebates are applied, the total cost for everything—two fridges plus additional items—comes down to $1735.
So, you're stacking multiple deals: the $300 rebate, the buy one get one free offer on the fridge, and the multi-buy discount on Costco Direct items, then using smaller purchases like water filters to adjust the total and maximize savings. Other combinations of products that follow this logic will work too, as long as the total meets the rebate threshold after all discounts.

Their defense isn't that it's not true, rather that there is an arbitration clause on the box.
If you're going to buy LG, please buy a third party warranty or make sure you have a backup option.
I know Costco has a reputation for accepting anytime returns no questions asked, but I've never tested it and certainly not with such an appliance.
