The rubber seal on syrangies wear down after many cycles of popping them off to wash them an putting them back on an them getting wet then becoming bone dry. Also the ink showing the measurement numbers begins to fade even faster on some. Sure you could buy food grade rubber o rings. But also you worry about if you ever even got one of these fully clean by shaking water an soap inside it; an think about replacing them due to that at about the time you begin to see that o ring start to drag. Oh yeah the dragging too. Before it fails it may begin to drag. An you are most likely not getting very accurate smooth push/pulls. This becomes a concern when using these with extremely potent compounds where a little bit may be an overdose. Or it just sprays inside you cause you have to push so hard.
They should round out these tips tho. They all have jutting/cutting edges
