Actually ended up with a different bass from this thread. It was a green Jackson strata I offered $275 and was accepted. Love it so far. Couldn't get myself to get the concert bass, didn't like the headstock.

I just picked up a Sterling StingRay 5 string last month from a Musician's Friend stupid deal. Was a nightmare because they shipped it from a Guitar Center and it was put in the box with a chunk of wood missing from the body. Didn't want to exchange it because they told me it would come from another GC store again if I did, as their warehouse didn't have any. So I convinced them to give me a different color (which I liked more anyway) and did a return and re-buy with a matched price. Worked out in my favor.
