That's very fair as you can probably get another 9-12 months before the battery is at 80% and needs replacing.
So only $89 - 58 = $31 you get a brand new battery, or just keep using it wait until battery drops from 89% to 80%, then change a new battery later on, you probably get at least 3 year out of it.
EDIT - I was able to change colors on a few models and confirm shipped from Amazon. I went two models and will see which one has the least milage.
The reason I'm curious is because you could have 100% battery life but a crappy battery. Now if it's 100% battery life out of genuine Apple battery that's great.
