Why did this trigger "price mistake"?

I originally put "price mistake" in the OP to alert more people (there were couple of Dyson deals earlier and a lot of people missed them). But after researching the price more, decided that it wasn't as good as earlier deals after all.

These marketers are crazy
Can I rant? My biggest modern pet peeve is crappy tech product naming and numbering, and Dyson is one of the biggest culprits of that. For their vacuums, the naming went:
  • No V1 through V5
  • V6
  • V7
  • V8
  • No V9
  • V10
  • V11
  • V12
  • No V13 and no V14
  • V15
  • Gen5Detect
Skipping version numbers and then all of a sudden going with "Gen5" is super confusing to the average consumer. I am pretty up-to-date with Dyson products - I have owned 6 purifiers, 5 vacuums, and 1 hair dryer - and even I get confused from time to time.

The naming scheme of their newest line of air purifiers - which was released in 2023 - is just as bad. For their Big + Quiet line:
  • No BP01
  • BP02 is only for certain regions (not in the US)
  • BP03 (made for consumers)
  • BP04 (made for consumers, better than BP03)
  • No BP05
  • BP06 (made for businesses; very different without remote control, app, shorter filter life)
Sorry about the rant, but this is on the same levels of horrible naming as USB-C [arstechnica.com]... lol.

Take care,
Tofu Vic

Thank you for doing that! Otherwise I would not have seen.

Yesterday there were all those laundry deals with the massive coupons.

Today it seems like the huge value coups were the Dysons.

What will tomorrow bring? Is there some weird promo event this week at Amazon?

So is this a really good deal or not? Can't tell from all the comments. I did purchase but not sure if I should cancel. TIA.

I missed the deal. Not sure if I would have pulled the trigger, but I am in the market for a Dyson fan. For reference, there was this Dyson TP4A from Costco last August for $99.97:
