Description
The Walker's Digital Razor PRO Electronic Earmuffs as its name implies, utilize advanced digital circuity to provide enhanced clarity of desirable ambient sounds—such as voice, high-frequency steel impact, and environmental sounds like animal movement—while offering improved suppression of undesirable background noise, such as wind. Combined, the Razor PRO's sound processing makes for a clearer and more comfortable audio experience on the range or in the field. The Razor Digital continues the ergonomic design and diverse functionality of the Razor series with compact ear cups that minimize interference when shouldering long guns, a redesigned headband for hours of comfortable wear, and an easy-to-operate control knob. An auto shut-off function can be set for two, four, or six hours to deliver longer life if the shooter forgets to turn off the unit. High-gain omnidirectional microphones provide 360-degree sound pickup to eliminate audio "blind spots.

I've owned this headset for about 4 years, it's a decent pair - survived several outdoor training classes, good clearance with cheek rest on rifles but after 2 years the noise cancelling "hissing" started getting noticeably louder. I haven't reached out to mfg about it but warranty is 1 year I believe. I think I got it for the same price too but if I were shopping again I wouldn't buy the model

I own both.

The Walker's Razor NRR is 23; the Howard Leight Impact Sport NRR is 22.

The HL has the edge up on speakers, as they're omni-directional, meaning you can tell which direction sound is coming from. The Walker's is mono-directional. I'd say the sound quality is comparable.

That said, if you have a smaller head, go with Walker's, because it will block sound more securely due to the shape. The bottom corners are cut in, making the muff relatively smaller. The Howard Leight Impact Sport is more rectangular. You run the risk that the ear muff will separate from your head, usually at the bottom rear corner (especially when turning your head), allowing the full blast of noise through and defeating their purpose.

The Howard Leight is great for larger heads.
