This was in the news. I haven't contacted the dealer yet but it looks like $2210 pay down and $125 a month. My simple math says about $185 a month.

This excludes any dealer discounts. But may exclude some other fees. I have never leased so no clue.

Great as a third car. Note that this model didn't get very good reviews - hence it being priced accordingly.

Correct.
Toyota built this as a compliance car to fill a gap in the lineup and has zero focus on it or care. If anything, it is the 'look we built an EV, it sucks!'. The first production run had WHEELS FALLING OFF. They recalled every single one! The car is slow and just utterly wild in it's idiocy.

We test drove the badge engineered Subaru version - the Solterra. Same car, different logo.
The list of infuriating choices piled fast. Want to move the driver's seat? BEEPS. CONSTANT BEEPS.
Want to back up? It beeps on the inside and inside only. Who are they warning?! Me? I"M DRIVING THE CAR.
The performance is just bad. It has a quick little bit of torque and then falls on it's face.
Did I mention the range sucks and that the car does not support fast charging so you literally cannot roadtrip it without hour-long-stops?
All in all, it just felt like Toyota was completely uninterested in building it as it is lower margin than gas/hybrid.

Then you have the ioniq 5. Hyundai's focus is straight up on on beating the Tesla Model Y. They are serious and in it. The car is shockingly better looking in person than the BZ4X. The interior feels like tomorrow and has innovative ideas, way more range, way better software, etc.
Korea is currently having the same moment that Japan had in the 90s, Hyundai should be taken seriously, esp in the EV space.
Texas sucks for leases. Have to pay taxes on full amount.

TX offer is $4k down $219 a month plus TTL
This price is only for 2023 which is all sold out

Came to few Toyota dealers in Orange county, CA to ask about this deal.
Dealer staff laughed at me and said "good luck".
Dealers wll add lots of junk fees so this deal is too good to be true.

Sounds like a dealer to avoid if they laugh at you instead of trying to help you with the deal

Yep. Went to one in LA. Same thing. He said no dealers are doing that. $350 monthly was what they wanted to go for, that's $50 more than a model 3

I feel like more deals like this are going to come. This tax incentive is all year correct? Also electrics are doing terrible right now.

Yep. Waiting for the 10 feet by 10 feet containers with co2 monitoring for rent to drop here soon. Comes with a bonus assortment of fresh bugs.

lmao car is available, but when I mentioned the incentives sales just ghosted me. Traditional dealers just want to ripoff people I guess.

Tax incentive ($7500 Federal, part of the IRA) for leases I believe is indefinite , until repealed, right?
If so we should see these be around while the top-line MSRPs keep going down(if).

Toyota has fallen on its face with this last round of vehicles. The new Tundra engines are time bombs, the Tacomas are more expensive than the last gen Tundra, and this joke of an electric car is the laughing stock of the company. I have a first gen Tundra and will keep it going until the wheels fall off. I've tried to give Toyota my business but they just don't seem to want it anymore.

Toyota knows EVs are trash and treat them as such. Tell your rep/senator to stop forcing EVs down our throats, they are killing the car industry with red tape and ignorance. BYW, each manufacturer must pay a MASSIVE tax if they don't produce EVs so Toyota did the bare minimum to not pay the tax and are giving these away because they know they are trash... just like the United State government, trash.

Technically speaking the incentives (lease cash and 0 APR) are there and they cannot simply take it away and keep it for themselves. So I wouldn't even talk about the incentive with them. Simply talk with them about the final price, remove all junk fees, then right before making decision telling them you are leasing and low down payment.

When I did mine I didn't even know about the 0APR and was assuming high interest rate. Ended up paying more on down payment trying to get the monthly lower but realized it during signature phase.

This was a complete waste of time for me. None to be found in my area. Wound up going with an Ioniq 5 SEL AWD which is a better car in every way. Cost more, but the smiles from 449lb-ft of torque go a long way to compensate for that 😁

What did you pay for a lease on it. I would be good with either this or the ionic. Need 15k miles though for sure.
