Would you be up for posting a link to an example of "5KW of less convenient auto style Lifepo4 at Amazon for about $800 shipped any day"? Curious to see the options you're thinking of.
For me it's adding shipping (~$230) and tax (~$80) for a total of $1477 for one. But they're doing a free shipping over $2000 promotion, so two batteries comes out to $2459 or $1229/each. Pretty good price for a 5kwh battery from a reputable solar retailer.

Stupid question, but is there a rack mount inverter/ups? Have been thinking about backing up my networking equipment with one of these.
Not that I have seen and I looked at a lot of inverters... There are plenty of smaller wall mount types though that you can just sit on top of a rack like the EG4 inverters.
You might be better off getting one of those premade ecoflow or anker setups.

Actually I googled it and see they make them. Theinverterstore dot com has some. I guess my next question is has anyone done it and recommend a brand or setup?
There are some deals on F150 lightnings in the mid $30k right now, and they have two onboard 20amp circuits, a 90+kwh battery, and are portable (can be moved under their own power). These batteries are a slightly better deal if you don't want a free car to go with them.
Dagum...$1091 shipped to my door for the 24 volt 200AH battery as well. I paid $1587 each for two of them almost exactly a year ago. This is a great deal.

Yes my tax return loves these. I have 9 total currently on 2 systems, I run my entire house off solar.
There is always news about "new battery discovery" and most never get produced.

Same question. new to this whole battery backup stuff, but seems like it should be pretty straightforward?
