Because it isn't as cheap as last month! š¤£
A lot of folks just don't understand the PM markets. I wonder if Costco hedges their inventory, or just sell it at cost plus margin, and hope the prices keep going up.
If you don't get those cash back rewards, then you can find a better deal on the per oz premium from online bullion dealers.
It might help when posting these Costco precious metals deals to mention the Costco Exec membership 2% cash back reward and the Costco Citi VISA 2% cash back reward.

JM Bullion Sell to Us page with live prices.
At the time that I'm writing this, looks like JM will buy your Canada Silver Maples for $27.12 which at the current spot price of $27.16 is -$0.04 cents below spot.
If you buy gold and silver as a short-term trade, you're probably better off buying ETFs or miners instead of physical metal.
Physical metal may be best used as a long-term hedge against inflation of the currency or as a form of alternative savings, and not a trade where you buy-low sell-high but rather exchange it for currency as you need it.

Now it's +1 votes.
Why is it getting downvoted? With the Costco Exec membership and Costco Citi VISA rewards, the premium over spot is lower than any bullion dealer premium online.
Right now the spot price is $27.20 per oz, and with the cash back the Costco premium over spot is only $1.98 over spot.

Absolutely and/or gold. Won't be able to get close to the price anywhere else after 2% executive + 5% cash back.
