Remember, discount tire will price match both Sam's and Costco. Even the free installation. They have the same road hazard protection. Though you have the option to purchase even better protection. Always get it done at discount tire. You'll get better service and incredibly quicker. You'll be done before even Sam's or Costco sees your car.
Also, if you're going to use this deal, you should call your local store and get things scheduled for the weekend of 5/3 - 5/5.
I called and was transferred to a "centralized" tire & battery center representative. She checked my tire size and placed an order for me that I will pay for on my scheduled appointment on 5/3. She made the appointment for me, everything was pretty smooth. Highly recommend that approach.
That's how Sam's is now. They have an overseas call center setting up the appointments. Sometimes you might struggle understanding the person on the other side of the world, but I think it's better than the Tire Center employees never answering the phone at the store.

I needed some tires and was looking at the Goodyear WeatherReady and comparing to tirerack.
Prices at tirerack were lower if I was willing to wait for the gift cards. Sam's Club price was about $60 more, but the rebate was instant and it included mounting the tires. In most shops that costs another $20 per tire.
IMO - It seems like a good enough deal for me to bite when the sale starts.

What's the best way to go about it without having to call. If there's a way.
I see tires in app, can I order it without installation package at this time and when they arrive, do pick up and add installation within those dates, would it work.
Also if I change membership such I do from time to time between me and my spouse, to take advantage of new members promo, it would not be eligible for rotation etc
It depends on the tire, and if the tire is available at your local Sam's.
I bought Goodyear Eagle Exhilarates at Discount Tire just a few days ago. Also $180 per tire, $80 for the install. Discount Tire is running a promo this week, instant rebate of $80 online when buying 4 Goodyears (so that basically negates the install), and the manufacturer has a $100 rebate: https://discounttire.scene7.com/i...pTo100.pdf
If this rebate does not exclude Sam's club, then this Sam's Club deal is better than Discount Tire's since there's $100 off four from May 3-5.
Definitely do price comparisons, and look up the tire manufacturer's website for rebates and exclusions. I personally would get a Sam's Club quote, and get Discount Tire to price match. My local DT's are all run by car guys and they know not to scuff nice rims..
You also get 4 years of Emergency Roadside Assistance (including lockouts, towing, etc) and lifetime balance and rotation. We got this on the last set of tires we bought from Sam's, and it's come in handy.

I will say take the screenshot of the final checkout page from the Sams club during the discount week and go to Discount tire for price matching for the exact tire. Much easier to get schedule and service done there. Sam's club schedule gets all booked at least two/ three weeks ahead where I am located.
