I called and was transferred to a "centralized" tire & battery center representative. She checked my tire size and placed an order for me that I will pay for on my scheduled appointment on 5/3. She made the appointment for me, everything was pretty smooth. Highly recommend that approach.

This alone will save you close to $40 a year as my car dealership charges $20 for tire rotation during oil change assuming two oil changes per year.
I thought the installation is free at discount tire, but then you have to spend ~$40 for the warranty/certificate for each tire?
Great deal depending on what tires you go with. I'm a fan of Pirelli and this is equivalent to getting about 25% off for me.

I believe the price for the warranty depends on the price of the tire. Last time I purchased tires the warranty was $22 per tire
See, this offer is my doing. I had a blowout a week ago and JUST replaced all 4 tires at the only shop I could limp to.
The universe, what with it operating exclusively on a sense of irony (as is manifestly the case) was therefore obliged to present this a couple days later. No need to thank me (you'll pay it forward sooner or later. Believe it).
You can use the +sams gmail trick and reuse the same email in the 3rd year to make the warranty eligible again, given the tires have no issues in the 2nd year. Or just purchase a cheap regular membership for the 2nd year using the same email
