I don't get the fatbike trend. Unless you take this in the snow or the dunes, why add all that weight and rotational inertia?
I've moved strictly to riding fatties in the woods. No electric necessary

think you answered your own question. i live in a woodsy area and used to own a radrover (until it got stolen) and i can tell you it was amazing to go on/off the roads onto dirt, gravel, bumps, etc and not really feel that much of a handling difference. yes you're probably not going to want to take this thing on a long road-only tour (the pedal assist and throttle are pretty nice though) as it weighs a tons and feel like steering a lazy-boy, but if you're in that niche of suburban-rural riding like i am this is fantastic!

very true for most use cases, but teens are carrying passengers on the back nowadays and for that it's nice to have fat tire

It can carry 275 lbs, that is good news for portly biking enthusiasts.

The roads around here suck, fat tire makes for a more stable and cushy ride just being able to roll over imperfections at 28mph, its more comfortable. The extra weight and energy required are negligible on an ebike, the battery and motor are doing most of the work

Put a tracker on it, a real tracker not a stupid AirTag because they just send the thief a text message saying that the item you just stole has a AirTag and you are being tracked.
