I had this at the $300 price point it was ok. Ended up getting the s970H instead, for around $315 at B&H a few months ago. This Costco model just was not powerful enough. I have a modest system but would have to have the volume up near 70 to be usable. With the 970h it's usable around 45-50 or so.
Wondering if the displays still go out like on the older versions or if that's been fixed. I am looking to update my S700w but leery about the brand now after years of battling with the lousy Wi-Fi and app as well.
I bought this so thanks OP. The reason this is a deal in my opinion, is buy it and if the price drops in 30, Costco will refund or if there is a Denon 960 or something later for $300, return the Costco unit. My plan anyway.
I have this receiver, purchased from Costco. The effects processor is great. The Amp is pretty weak, although I could probably live with it. The reason I want to get rid of it is the way Denon does their volume control. It's starts off in little 0.5 increments then suddenly it exponentially increases. It's the most annoying volume control I've ever experienced on any device.
