Don't do it. Google have completely nerfed this device since they bought Fitbit so they can push their own smartwatch.
I got it when Amazon sold it for $90 and I still regret it. Never syncs properly and randomly misses whole days of input data.
Just look at the official Fitbit Sense 2 forum if you need an idea of how frustrated customers are with it and what Google is doing to Fitbit in general.

I bit on this one. My Versa 2 finally gave up the ghost after over 3 years. Even with the googleification of Fitbit, I think I'll give it one last run. The alternatives all had major downsides. Pixel apparently has terrible battery life. Apple is too expensive. Same for Samsung unless you buy a refurbished one from eBay or something.

I got this during black friday. Works much better than the first sense. Never crashes. No issues with it at all. I do wish it still had the Google assistant though. I wear it all day every day. Only take it off to charge while I'm in the shower.

But those alternatives are all smart watches. This is no longer a smart watch. Google removed 3rd party apps, Fitbit groups, Fitbit Challenges, they are soon removing 3rd party clock faces etc etc. The Sense 2 even has a WiFi chip inside that Google deactivated.

I just don't see why someone wouldn't buy one of the cheaper fitbits if they just want a fitness tracker with a clock on it.

Edit. Oh yeah definitely avoid if you use an iPhone because it doesn't work with Apple Health.

EXACTLY- this is a dead product. I use a fitbit tracker. but no reason to ever buy a fitbit "smartwatch"

If you are on IOS hard pass since Google bought it almost all functionality that use to be there for IOS is gone. I bought mine for $50 used off eBay and it does great as clock and tracker but anything else its pretty bad at. I have not had problems with it syncing or anything like that.

Specifics for those that care:
You can get notifications but cant respond to text messages.

Voice calls are impossible unless you have the watch within 6-8 inches of your face and even then the other person will have a hard time hearing you.

The automatic workout recognition is subpar at best but not a big issue if your use to manually selecting your workouts before you start them.

It tries to do a lot of things and doesn't seem very good at any of them. I use it primarily for the alarm clock since it helps me wake up a lot easier with something buzzing on my wrist instead of an alarm clock.

Useless garbage! Don't waste even $10 bucks on this thing. When it was not owned by google they were great but now it's junk!

Yeah I bought it for $80 or so when there was that pricing mistake, but honestly I wouldn't spend more than that. Weather app was one of the main reasons why I got this, but the weather app never, ever syncs. I only use it as a fitness/health tracker, and since I basically paid the same price as the cheaper Fitbit models, I can't complain too much. Battery life is not bad for something with a larger screen.
