Neural DSP are running their annual birthday sale. All plugins are 50% off, including the Nameless X Suite which they just released today. The sale runs for the next 11 days or so. The timer is on the website
Anybody get to try the Nameless X suite yet? Opinions?
I started the free trial earlier. It's solid but I'm not feeling the impulse to buy it for my tastes. the Morgan Suite on the other hand is fantastic for crystal cleans. I've been waiting weeks for the sale to grab it.
I already have Parellax, Wong and Nolly. Might even add Soldano to the mix as well..
I like the unit, but the company is pretty sketchy. Many of these plug-ins have been promised updates for 2-3 years now and nothing. They also kind of exploded during the Covid money lending era and they seem to have had cash problems so I would worry a bit them actually ever being able to push those out.
These are on sale all the time at 50% at least twice a year, sometimes more so don't FOMO about having to grab one. I personally won't give them anymore of my money, and there are plenty of equally good plug-ins out there for much less money

I own most of the neural stuff. I never bought a quad cortex because of this though. Only the "X" versions are compatible right? They have like 2 and 1 is brand new smh..

Is there another modeler/FX you'd suggest sticking with? Line6 Helix? Tonex? The new Tonex One looks quite impressive btw
I've been out of the recording game for awhile. Maybe 15 years. I could never find anything that came close to the sounds from a good mix using my Fender twin reverb and a few boss pedals. How does these new sims compare these days?

Plugins and modelers are pretty much indistinguishable from an amp in a mix these days.
That said, most Neural DSP stuff is aimed at hi gain players. I don't think fender cleans are an option but you can get there tweaking some of the plug ins. Probably a better plug in option out there for fender specifically if that's what you're looking for.

Not actual instruments, they are plugina for a DAW.

I'd say helix lt. Really nice. And Native will be the same price as any one of these at regular price.
Check the Fractal Audio stuff, much superior than Helix, Neural, etc
