Prusa is in trouble. Sitting here with my MK3S+ with negligible upgrades for comparatively large prices, when I could just spring for this and even get multicolor. Frustrated.
You should probably note that this is the A1 Combo, not the regular A1 price.
This will give you multi color and a closed source eco system.
The svo8 is open source with a much bigger build area and a stationary build plate. Mmu in the works. Bambu makes nice stuff, I just can't do it.
If they were open source I would be all over it. I'm just going to get the svo8 enclose it, and build an enraged rabbit for it

I took a gamble with the sv08 early bird special for $450.
It's nuts you can just get a pre made voron sent to your door for under 500$ I remember just a few yrs ago it was like $1200 for the pleasure of sourcing parts and building one

Oh yea they are. I sold all my Prusa i3 MK3S units and replaced them with various Bambu models and its been nothing but WAY better. Was never a huge fan of Prusa. They're overpriced for a copied i3 design that felt very DIY. Worked, but no comparison to Bambu right out of the gate.

I really can't decide. I have the a1 and the P1S in my cart now trying to make the call. I like the neatness of the P1 but $400 could buy a lot of filament.

I've had both. Unless you need the enclosure, you'll probably be happier with the A1. The print difference is negligible, but the A1 is more user friendly due to the touchscreen.
They are all great honestly! I got the P1S first because I have a cat and wanted something enclosed. I just got the A1s this week, but so far they have been AWESOME and SO QUIET compared to my P1S. Prints are coming out at the same quality as my P1S it looks like. If you're doing all PLA mostly, the A1 series is great. P1S is better for other materials as its enclosed and can keep the inside hot.
Anyone know if you can run different filament materials not just different colors of the same filament? Example PETG for main print and PLA for supports.

Yes you can. I use petg for support interface on pla prints.

Wonder if it's time for an upgrade, the wife wanted cookie cutters and I haven't turned on my 3d printer in 2 years, haha
