Darn…hope my local warehouse marks them down soon. I just bought one yesterday for regular price.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to do in when I'm in the area to check on the price.
***EDIT*** Actually, I see the online price has a $30 discount, so I'm assuming this is across the board for all warehouses. I'll have to walk in to get my price adjustment soon before they sell out.
Saw these in store for the same price. The lid is quite durable to be able to sit on it as opposed to the ones that have been on sale from Home Depot recently. I'm still not convinced it's worth the price
From the quick read I did of a few of those it seems like it's people who were having trouble with the instructions and were frustrated building it. Another recipe says it was not difficult and watching the YouTube video from the manufacturer helps a lot.
I looked at the display model in the store and it seemed simple to build, not many pieces from what I could tell. It also seemed sturdy to me, compared to my Keter store-it-out 40 cubic foot shed. I actually had ordered a 180 gallon deck box from the previous HD deal ($150) but will be returning that one because I liked the lid design of this one better for keeping rain out, plus it's Costco for their return/guarantee policy.

I guess the $30 price reduction showing online does not necessarily relay to in-store savings as well. Was there today for something and tried so was going to get a price adjustment but their sign is still reflecting $149.99. Asked customer service to check anyways in case they just hadn't updated the sign but it was in fact $149.99 in their system for that location.
Hopefully they drop the price at that warehouse to match the online discount.

I did end up purchasing one of these in store and I have to say that I have no clue what those 1- and 2-star revies are talking about. I put this together by myself in ~1 hour. The only thing I can think there might be some confusion is because the holes aren't already pre-punctured for the screws. It's not hard to figure out where they go. I also used a powered screwdriver for the screws so maybe that aided me as well.

Yeah, I saw the assembly video the other day and it did not look difficult at all. I'll probably put it together this weekend, just need another person to hold the lid for me to install the hinges (per the video).
I put together the 180 gallon Home Depot deck box and that was super easy. It was basically snapping pieces together, but it seems flimsier than this Lifetime deck box. Maybe that's what people are used to so using more than a screwdriver is too much for them.
By the way...I ended up finding this lower price at another warehouse I was near this past weekend. I had the receipt from the other warehouse with me but apparently Costco does not do price adjustments from other warehouses. I had to grab that big box, pay for it, get my receipt checked at the exit, and then turn that cart right around to walk to the return section so they can process my return with the higher priced receipt (this was suggested by the employee behind the return counter). Seemed like extra work for them in having to now take the big box back behind the counter and then go place it again at the stack on the sales floor.

I built one with my neighbor and it was really nice and sturdy. We had no problems.
