I have this exact trimmer, it's about 8 years old and has worked great for me. I use it 6 months of the year about 15 minutes a week. I went ahead and bought this one, and can sell the old one for probably $50 on FB marketplace, maybe a little more and get 8 more years out of it. Thank you OP!
Sounds like you live in living hell with your HOA.
Tell your HOA it's a hybrid, and that they can go pound sand. WTF are they going to do, give your string trimmer an emissions test? FFS

Same as MichiganMatt. I've owned this exact model since 2007 (17 years). I use it about every week, or other week, for about 15 to 20 minutes. The only problem I've ever had is........ the primer bulb cracked about a year ago. I no longer prime the carburetor. I just crank the pull chord 10 times, and it will finally start. Once it starts, it runs just fine. Without the primer bulb, you essentially have to pull the chord, to get fuel to the carb.

At work, we have a Stihl straight shaft and an Echo straight shaft. The Stihl is a bit heavier, but has more power. The Echo is quite a bit lighter, but doesn't have nearly the power as the Husqvarna. This Husqvarna is is the happy medium, between the Stihl and Echo.

You can buy new primer bulbs, might be a headache ordering the right one for it online but a small engine mechanic would probably order it for relatively cheap

I was given one of these. It's completely usable, and that's not a bad price. But ... if I wanted to give electric a run for its money and I planned on using it for 10 years, I'd be looking for deals on the 525L in this brand name. Northern Tool also has the Stihl FS 91R on sale.

I no longer care what I paid for my trimmer 10 years ago, but the 128LD sits untouched waiting for me to convert it into a pole pruner one day ... also, 10 years is a long time to hope a single battery will still function.

You can certainly get many different models if each of these brands that will vary in weight and power.

Is this 2-cycle or 4? Our HOA has a restriction on 2 cycle machines for homeowner use. Only lawn care companies can use 2-cycle, sucks we know but it is what is.

homeowner and I bought the same trimmer years ago. works great, and starts right away 95% or so of the time.

cons, loud like most gas trimmers.

I can't tell you if the price is a good deal, but the product is good.

2-cycle.

If you're in a HOA, I'd assume you don't have a large yard or much beyond just trimming long grass. If that's true, get a quality battery unit.
