As a heads up, Fender Play leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely augment it with something like Justin Guitar.

Justin Sandercoe as a fantastic teacher. I used his free lessons on YouTube back in the day to get my first entry experience into learning the instrument.

I recommend his teaching.

NGW handles Fender's guitar returns. Those that are still usable appear to receive replacement necks with NGW branding.

I'm wondering which Squier or Fender acoustic these started as.

I've learned several things from Fender Play, so it's not completely useless.

However, Fender Play also includes 10% off any instrument at Fender.com. When there's a sale, it almost always still applies. People were getting some great deals direct from Fender back in November. Some Player series instruments were down at $610 or so with the additional 10% just a week or two ago.

In that case, consider buying the Fender Play subscription and sell the guitar.

When I got my acoustic earlier it was the OM10CE from Nashville Guitar works. It's an acoustic electric. Sounds good.

It's more the presentation style for me, they are a bit dry. It's like a bunch of college students were required to record some instructional videos as a class assignment. Maybe it's improved, it's been several years since I poked around.
