Retails $100 per pair. Qualifies for the clothing discount spend $50 save $15 or spend 100+ save $35. Can also order two to get max discount and then return one pair and the $35 discount will be split evenly between the two at the return counter to save a few more dollars.
So, apparently these are acceptable, but only for short distances at a time. If you're just breaking into the sport of running, want to save a little bit of money, and ONLY are running on easy trails, these will work ok. I'll thumb up the deal.
Once you start moving into higher distances, break away from this quickly.
(I'm an avid trail runner, 40+ trail miles a week)
Edit: I'm very hesitant to recommend this shoe, especially to people who are just getting into the sport. Typically, a newer runner either is a little bit overweight, *or* simply not used to running, (i.e. Joints aren't used to the impact) which this shoe specifically isn't great at cushioning. If you're already feeling pretty sure of your joint health and aren't on the heavy side, I guess they're still ok.
I have plantar fasciitis and someone recommended me this brand and Hoka. I don't do any running, but can I wear this to walk around in town, run errands, and play with my kids in the park?

I wore Brooks forever for my PF. I feel like they started wearing out too fast a few years ago. Switched to Hoka and haven't seen a need to go back. They're great.
Folks, looking for some suggestions/recommendations from the collective knowledge here. I recently started some running on treadmill (I run around 3 miles daily at 5.5 mph speed) and I hike a moderate-hard trail over the weekend (mission peak in Fremont, Ca). I have been having knee pain for many years now and a Dr diagnosed it as patellofemoral syndrome a few years ago. I feel the knee pain only when climbing up the stairs or running for longer times (like more than 10 mins), otherwise no pain. One interesting thing is I don't feel any knee pain if I use knee sleeves (even when taking stairs or running) which is what I do now. With all of this context, do the experts in the group have any recommendations for shoes.I have been so far using ASICS Gel-Venture 6 Running Shoes (I think they were good on my knees) but they are 5 years old and are worn out.

I have PF and Oofos has been really good for my feet. Which Hoka do you wear ? Might give it a try.

I understand that the Brooks and Hoka are good. But is it the model mentioned by OP?

I don't think Brooks makes bad shoes.
The Divide is a road-2-trail running shoe, thus the name. This is the budget model in the Brooks trail range.

which means they will be less durable long term.

I just hopped on the band wagon with the Trace 2s. I love them. I also tried on a ghost and adrenaline which also fit really well.
I think it was this model that felt really different to all those other ones.
