This would have been an OK deal in 2021, but absolutely not today. For $465 total, pass hard on it.

If you need a PC desperately, pick the Acer with i5-13400/16GB/512GB [costco.com] for only $50 more. The CPU is significantly faster, and the extra RAM and the bigger SSD are a plus. All those extras for only $50. Think 3 years ahead: Would you rather have the $50 or a better computer which doesn't feel obsolete?

Is the motherboard big enough to add my own dedicated graphics card ?

The erica6 motherboard is fine, the power supply is likely the limiting factor. Mkst likely has a 180 watt power supply.

Isn't this the one that was just 370 multiple times recently at Costco?

I bought the $280 Refurb off ebay last month and this is a nice PC at that price
but the New price is still too high.
I upgraded the PSU to 400W [ebay.com] and added a GTX 1660 Super Video card
Updated the 256 M.2 to a 1TB Kingston NV2 [a.co] with a heatsinc [a.co].
upgraded the Ram to 16GB T-force 3200mhz [amazon.com]
upgraded the stock CPU cooler to a Cooler Master i71C [amazon.com]

With all the updates it games pretty well on high settings at 1080P and is a nice Emulation PC / Plex server.
My total cost was a little lower because I already had the 1660S
It was a fun project

Doesn't seem like it was worth the cost and the effort. You could've started with a better PC and just added the 1660S.

yeah it was just one of those impulse buys and one thing lead to another.
I had the video card the 16gb of ram and a 1tb ssd already.
bought the PSU and M.2 and coolermaster cooler.
Roughly spent $425 with all my leftover parts

The integrated graphics in the 5600G is remarkably capable.

Otherwise, for those considering possible GPU upgrades, potentially compatible models which come in variants without accessory power connector(s) includes:
  • RX 6400
  • GTX 1650 (select implementations)
  • RTX 3050 (2024 models)
Good luck!

This system was previously available at Costco for $369.99 plus $14.99 shipping. The thread for that offer has some good details for those considering this PC.

Good luck!
