Just used it on an account that had a free trial that expired earlier today (and I've had several other free trials on the same account)

This worked for me. Been only using trials for years. Typically give a week or two before redeem a new trial from 3rd party partners but this coming from Apple helps too.

worked here, I had apple tv more than a year ago and let it run out, used same login

What's the deal on canceling? It says it will bill me starting 7/13/24. Can I cancel now and still get 2 months free? If not, if I cancel a month prior to 7/13 will it still let me watch until then, or do I have to time canceling for 7/12/24?

That has been my experience in the past but not sure about this one...
