I own this machine and have made over 1,000 drinks on it in the past 2+ years.

It's a solid espresso machine that is able to churn out high quality drinks quickly. I'd say the drink is 80%+ as good as what I'd get at a great coffee shop. I have never had a single issue, error message, or problem to date.

Note that maintenance will cost about $15 a month (filters and cleaning solution/tablets) and the water holder isn't very big esp once the filter is added. But for 2-3 ppl, it's a great machine and I'm still happy with my purchase.

I had the same machine before upgrading to Z10, while most of the things you said is true, you dont need to buy filters. I used my refrigirator filtered water. You only need a filter for the first time use after that its not needed. Cleaning tablets you can use after market that work as well.

How do these things compare to a nespresso? Thinking about upgrading ...

nespresso does not compare. none of other super automatic espresso machines compare. Jura is the king when it comes to the taste.

I have had it for past 2 years. Great espresso. Cleanup with generic product work fine. I don't use milk froth that much because it requires you do to a milk cleaning every day which is too much work of me.
