As someone who had been keeping an eye on the new Bravia series, I would say 1999 is not a good price for this tv. The current x93l is on sale for 1599, which is very similar for the bravia 7. bravia 7 had a better chip, which helps when upscaling low resolution videos, but x93l is already among the best tvs for upscaling. x93l had the low reflection film that significantly reduced reflection, which is expensive and available mostly on higher end tvs, which bravia 7 lacks. This will be a huge disadvantage for bravia 7.

If direct sunlight hits it it can damage OLED.

My wife feels dizzy when watching oled tvs on display in costco, so oled is not an option for us.
besides, bestbuy magnolia has sony oled (a75/a80) side by side with mini led (x93l) and regular led (x90l). The x93l lacks the same level contrast as a75/a80 but much eye friendly and a bit brighter. I think it is the contrast and deep black that would make people dizzy.
samsung miniled (q90c) and oled (s95c) were also next to sony in magnolia showroom. Sony tvs blow samsung out of the water.
