No idea why I bought this. Maybe my son will want to play one day
This is the full bedrock version. It's exactly the same with all the features as windows, xbox, and playstation version but with worse graphics. It also has cross-play with people on these devices.
No joke, I bought this 4 years ago thinking that my daughter might like it in the future. It is now her favorite game, and it's a blast that we get to enjoy that together.

Def worth the $2. Wish it was also $2 on Android so I can buy it again lol.
If you want to try it, there's a free open-source game called Minetest on the F-Droid store. It's supposed to be similar to Minecraft, though I don't know if it even comes close, I've just seen it in their games list a few times.
Well shit, I just recently bought this at full price because it is never discounted. Oh well. I would definitely snag it for $2. It's a really good version of the game. Granted not as full featured as the PC/Xbox versions but still well worth the price. My kid is obsessed.

If I buy it; will I be able to share the app with my kids iPads?
You need to setup Apple Family, it's very good, it allows for app approval system, screen time limits and some more stuff too. or you can just use it for app sharing https://support.apple.com/en-us/108380
