You do not need liquid cooling for this. If anything, liquid cooling adds extra, unnecessary risks and costs down the line.

This is a non X processor so it has a lower TDP (65W). It can perform very well without liquid cooling. It may not be the fastest gaming proc but will run games very well w the 4070ti.

What intel processor is this comparable too? Been ages since I've looked and an in law is currently looking and out dated with the pros and cons. 🥴

I'd compare it to a 13700k with regards to gaming, a little slower for Cinebench or other things - maybe, given that Intel is locking down power requirements on the I7s. Both have 8 performance cores, the Intel chip has additional E cores but 🤷 ♂️

The big deal is that you will likely be able to drop a Zen 5 into this in the future so long as Lenovo plays nice and updates the firmware. Even if they don't, the 3D Zen 4 chips should work and they are peerless in gaming.

That and the 4070 Ti Super is a beast.

Does anyone know if this uses a standard mobo layout? I've seen some weird ones from HP before (where part of the board juts out and is part of the front panel I/O, instead of it being a separate board). Just wanna know if, for whatever reason, I want to replace just the case, I can.

Return seems to be 30 days from date of invoice?

Since, the ETA shipping date seems to be so late(July), how will the 30 days return from date of invoice apply?(If someone does need to return). In my case, I need to verify that I can successfully run linux on here.

I just received mine. Following Fr33thy's optimization guide, I was unable to get the RAM into XMP because Lenovo has the BIOS pretty locked down. Not sure how big of a deal this is to me currently, but I think that means these will not support better RAM's full potential.

If anybody is more informed on this stuff I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

I got mine about 2 and 1/2 weeks ago after the last deal for this system was posted here. I'm very happy with the gaming performance but I also noticed that although the BIOS has one CPU OC boost profile, they have the memory locked down to 5200 even though the pre-installed Samsung sticks are 5600.

Running HWinfo confirms it runs at 5200. Although I couldn't change that in the bios, I downloaded the Ryzen Master utility off AMD's website and set the ram profile to EXPO 1. Using HWinfo again I verified it's running at 5600 now and is stable, no issues The performance increase from doing that was nominal, the Passmark Memory Mark score from 3197 to 3366.
