I feel like these must taste horrible, no? liquid pumpkin?
Pumpkin spice means the spices used in pumpkin pie, not the actual pumpkin. Some products do this well and it's pretty good, while others do not and it is not. Very few reviews on Amazon, would love to hear some opinions on the taste of these since protein shakes are already hit or miss even with more traditional flavors like vanilla

Doesn't taste bad. Not a strong flavor overall. I tend to like to add a little salt and liquid sweetener to my protein shakes, as I feel all of them are a bit bland.
I presume it is. I know it's a somewhat arbitrary thread to vent in.
To my knowledge, some protein drinks are actually classified under dairy products and thus are not subject to the tax. It's probably whether they call themselves protein beverages.

I bet if they consider their product dairy, they get heavier scrutiny from the FDA and state Dept of Agriculture.
Pumpkin Spice? In May? On sale at Amazon? I guarantee this is old stock. I'm sure it's still in date but just make sure you'll consume it within a month or so.

I guess the workaround is to only get protein bars since they're food and not supplements.
