nit pick
I am in love with this laptop and I'm confused about the low price given the premium OLED 120Hz HDR screen and borderline ultrabook weight and an RTX 4060 8GB not to mention the very capable Radeon 780m iGPU. Huge YMMV but I got an open box acceptable for $810 and received an excellent one. If your usecase can be covered by the 780m the Pavilion Plus 14 OLED is $407 open box at Micro Center, same specs without the 4060.

Can anyone suggest an AMD laptop with a thunderbolt or usb4.0 ports ? I don't need a dgpu but want the same kind of processor or a later 8000 series like a 8840 etc.

Would love a deal like this but without the dedicated gpu for $600-700ish. Portable(14in + lightweight), good screen(oled + high res + high refresh rate), and a 780m for possible gaming at low settings. Any recommendations?

Oh I thought he meant some sort of Quadro-type GPU.
In any case, this laptop isn't just good for gaming, and people won't only use a powerful and portable laptop solely for gaming.

Even in gaming, 32GB is useful, specifically in strategies (Total War, Cities Skylines), turn-based games (Diablo 4, Baldur's Gate).
today i learned diablo is now a turn based game

Just noticed the resolution. 2880x1800 on a 14-inch display? Yikes! My eyes are too old for that.
What's the resolution on your phone's 5" screen?

I just picked one up… and one thing the specs don't say is that the power button is also a fingerprint reader.

It's definitely subjective, it might not be much to one person, but for me traveling with two laptops and a bunch of other items, that couple pound difference can mean a lot. But also, that is what she said.

Picked up the store open box. Condition is very good but is the bottom super flimsy? Picking it up one handed from the sides, I can feel the flex of the back cover. It clicks a little with the flexing, like it's bumping into something underneath it.
I also recently picked up g14 2024 open box and have 2 days left to return. I didn't think the g14 2024 was all that but now that I have both, it's way more sleek. Smaller/thinner. The bottom of it also flexes but at least it doesn't click.
Wondering if anyone else notice the bottom flex. I'll open it to see what's making the noise.

For size comparison, the g14 is smaller than just the screen portion of the slim 5. I didn't think there would be that much of a size difference.

I just placed an order for a new one, pick up this weekend. Debated about open box, but it was barely a 10% price difference and I save an hour of driving time and gas. If the g14 goes on sale next week, I'll be in a conundrum because 2023 allows more ram and 2024 has some nice upgrades as well… overall, I lean towards the Lenovo though, due to being burned by poor asus quality control, and Lenovo having a cheap and valuable warranty option.
