The still image quality is awesome, however you'll find yourself limited as there's only a button to "grab still" and not a full-on photo mode. The shutter is very slow, so it's really only good for reference stills, and not for anything that required precise timing. I've used this on several shoots for food photography as the image quality has higher dynamic range than my 5d mark iii, and the ability to reference is significantly greater on the BMPCC6k.
Edit: this is a very small jpg, the image quality is significantly better than what I can upload here.
Also note that this comes with DaVinci Resolve Studio. Excellent editing software which costs about $300 by itself.
Most tempting offer for something I don't need in awhile.

We've never used their cameras for webcasting, but I use one of their switchers. How nice is the picture on this for streaming?
Much much better because of two factors: you can livestream in a converted LOG format for better dynamic range (more detail in highlights and shadows) via the "Extended Video" mode, which other cameras don't offer; and when connected to an ATEM Mini via HDMI, you get full remote camera control of settings.
I have a Sony Alpha a7r model iii and take mostly still images for landscape photography. I am looking to upgrade. Does any one have experience with Blackmagic 6k for still images and how does it compare?

Only get this if you are using it for video.
The Sony is fine for both, but for professional video (including shooting actual for-real movies), there's no comparison (it's what the Blackmagic is made for).
Been in the market for a blackmagic 6k for a few weeks, but I already bought some EF lens because I had come to the conclusion that the full frame was out of my price range 🤦
life would be a lot easier if they just knocked the 6k pro down to this price

is the camera not too heavy? the specification says 2.6 pounds. If it is not portable with lens and is for mostly for tripod or studios then i wont even think about it

Sure, then "don't even think about it," and you'll settled for mediocre livestream quality, since 2.6 pounds is pushing the limits of your strength...

Not too many people need that, of course.
